Aji LD has the most real pods.

Will post pics of the harvested pods in a little bit.

Looking awesome Paul .... Some might say ... "Every pod is a victory!" [emoji6] looks like the f5s are well on their way to staying true to their last 2 generations ... Nice work brother!!

That's certainly true for the early season this year!
So far so good for phenotype on the F5, if the pale
pods is what you're looking for.  Would be nice to
have a bunch of these growing to see what else crops up.

Hope all is well in NZ, my friend!
Try not to work all the time!

Can't beat fresh pods!

Glad to see the weather is behaving and that the plants are doing well.

Wishing you continued success ;)

Thanks, Scott! Seems like it's been a long time
since the last fresh pods. Weather isn't horrible
at the moment, but I'm pining away for Summer,
buddy!

Cool Paul ! Are you going to make some sauce?
Also how are you already harvesting pod! Did you plant outside like 3 month ago?
Hey, Charles - how are things up North?
I'll probably just eat these fresh with dinners. Yum.

Some of these pods set before plant out in May.
They are all about five or six months along, so
They should have pods on them. The recent cold
and rainy weather pretty much stalled them out
for the past three or four weeks, or there would be
more and bigger pods. Summertime is catch-up time!

Doing great, the greenhouse keep the temp higher than 18 degree at all time (64,4 Fahrenheit)

Im more than 1 month ahead of last year.

Also we got a nice 30 degree today (86 Fahrenheit) but greenhouse raised to 100 Fahrenheit for a short period because the fan wasnt keeping up and the window was closed (not automated yet!)

Glad to hear your greenhouse is such a success, Charles.
They can heat up pretty seriously even in 70-75˚F if it is
sunny out.  Now your plants are hardened off to 100˚ temps!

Glad to hear things are going well my friend. I love the fresh pods pic's. Plants look healthy as well.

Don't worry, those plants dropped all their flowers to grow some more and really impress you later.
Right on, Charles - they have a way of bouncing back if
the weather gives them half a chance.  This little stretch of
cooler (60's ˚F) should help the pubescens to set a few more
pods before the heat of summer finally gets here. The rest of
the grow is looking better - greening up a bit and putting on
new growth. Still pretty skimpy looking, but on the mend, for
sure!  From the light green color, I can be sure that I'm not
over-fertilizing with Nitrogen

That manzano looks ready to hit beast mode Paul , nice looking plantr mate , pods are pods buddy every ones a victory, all showing lush rich colour.

Thanks, Sim.  At least we'll have a few meals with fresh pods
before the next round of setting/ripening starts up.   Looking
forward to seeing colors from your grow, as well!

A few days of variable weather the past week; about 1 1/4 inches
of rain interspersed with some nice sun breaks has kept the plants
looking pretty good all things considered.  Lots of new growth and
some increased flowering.  More of the same this week, with a return
to sunny weather by next weekend.  Slow crawl into Summer this season.

The general layout this season:

The Aji Amarillos in the #2 cans have shot up about 2-3" this week,
forks finally beginning to extend their branches a little:

Annuums in #3 nursery pots - Costeño Amarillo, Padron and Serrano:

The two pampered 'White Lightening' (my pet name for the PDN x Bonda hybrid Tristen
created) cuttings in #3 pots, and a couple of Costeño Amarillos in a raised bed:

Fatalis get full sun all day.  Blueberries behind them:

Tomatoes really taking off since being planted out.  From the
left, #2, #4, #6 are Macedonian heirlooms from Penny in Canada.
The others are Better Boy, Early Girl and Siletz, an OSU (that's
Oregon, folks ;) ) developed hybrid:

Two BOC - GaGrowhead, and two MoA Bonnets - Trident Chilis:

Aji Amarillos are doing their usual thing - a pod at
every node since they started setting:

From the left, #1 and #3 BOC - Refining Fire, Red Rocoto and Aji Lemon Drop:

Orange Manzanos have benefitted from the cool weather the past week.
One more week of it - it will be good for the pubescens varieties - then
some sunny weather once again:

Front row - JA Red Habaneros original seed from Devv,
middle - MoA Bonnet, back row -  Caribbean Red
Habaneros from CPI:

Red Rocotos also like the cooler weather.
Increased flowering and pod-setting:

This MoA Bonnet is shaded by the Maple.  It gets 3-4 hours
of intense afternoon sun, then back in the shade again:

Bought two small Annuums from our local Kroger outlet about a
month ago - a Poblano and a Jalapeño.  Grown by Iwasaki
Nursery in Hillsboro, Ore. Very nice specimens:

Okay, 'nuff said.  Will try to hang loose for this week of cool weather,
waiting patiently for the return of nice weather.  Will be nice to get
away from the low-mid 60's and back to the high 70's low 80's again.
At least the nights aren't going any lower than 47-48˚, and are mostly
at 50-52˚.  They will warm up about 4-5 degrees next week.

Thanks for bearing with me, folks - Have a great week ahead!

Fantastic updates. Thanks for the layout of the garden. I try and piece it together in my head. lol!

Great looking garden. Looks like my inlaws garden in the U.K. . I wish to have something so relaxing. It takes all of time to keep up with a nice yard.

White Lightning's are looking superb. The rest of the plants look great as well. I haven't planted any tomatoes yet. Don't know if I will. They seem to be the only thing that will tolerate the film sun.

Blueberries!!!

Thanks for sharing.

Paul I am happy to see some ripe pods at your place. And I see you have pulled out the shade as I think we about all have. ;)
