Paul looks like your having a great season ;)
Hey, Jason...

Despite some ups and downs, there will be some kind of harvest  Woot!
Not big volume, but what I get will be pretty good, I think.

Paul, despite the weather this season, I see you're on your way to a nice harvest.

Plenty of nice pods there, and those apples......

Plenty of time left to fill the sack ;)

keep it going!

Getting there, my friend!  Patience is not my long suit  :D
Check out in a couple of posts or three, for some pics of
the 'apples'   :drooling:

Hope you are continuing to stretch the season, Scott!

Looking good Paul !  with the heat subsiding , they'll go like crazy ! 2 months to go ,
Right on, Frank!  I wish they had been at this stage 6 weeks ago.
I need to seriously rethink my seasonal grow strategy.

Weather has been great and the pod development has increased
with the improvement - hope things are good in your neck of the woods.

Cheers Paul. Like you say... every pod's a victory. :D

Sometimes all too true, Rick  ;)

Finally getting up to speed, John.  There's a pic on the LOTG thread.
Am finding some pods here and there with some promising phenotype
baby pods that have set with the cooler weather.  Hopefully time enough
to develop and ripen...

Paul hang in there. You got slammed with the heat. That sucks.I have not had rain for 3 weeks but the heat wave pushed thru last week.My driplines are giving 1/4 gallon per plant per day for the 3 week.To many pods to take away the moisture now untill it does rain.My success is tied to pushing the hell out of the nitrogen after they hit yard dirt.I want them as tall and leafy as possible so when the dog days arrive the leafy canopy combined with my cedar mulch protects the lower and middle flowers so they can pod up without stress.I get 2 sections of ripe pods a year, lower and middle. The top which eventually pods up is to late in the short season to worry about. In the last 3 weeks of the season I wack the top of the 6ft plants to concentrate rippining all pods I think will beat my frost deadline.

Sounds like you have adapted to the climate there in great fashion, Randy,
Can't wait to revisit your grow log and see what's going on!

Hey Paul amazing poddage going on up there in the corner...
Thanks, James.  Maybe a nice Fall season will usher
in a good harvest!

Some pics coming as soon as I get on my phone...

Some update pix:

Aji Lemon Drops sun drying. The last batch of dried
pods made a powder everyone loved; the flavor unique
to me and intense, nice heat level.

Weather has been great lately, a few clouds floating
around, mostly sunny and temps in low 80's Woo-hoo!

Nice little harvest you've got there, Paul! That Lemon Drop powder will be fantastic and the Rocotos look delicious! Whatcha stuffing' 'em with?
Thanks, Mike! The powder is, indeed, really good.
I've not tasted any other like it. Except for a little
salsa, I'll dry them for powder.

Just going to cut up the Rocotos and roast them over
some coals with Padrons, some baby Scorpions, some
Aji Amarillo, and some Jalapeños to go along with a paella
we're making tomorrow

Caribbean Red Habanero- CPI - really prolific walnut sized
pods at this point:

First full sized Scorpion pod- still smooth
skinned but showing some gnarly traits:

Congrats on the harvest Paul!

Those apples are huge ;)

And I hope the weather stay favorable for you.

Yes, my garden continues to survive. I lost one plant, one that I really wanted to take off. The TigerMamp. It's been way hot this summer; hoping for the huge fall set :P

That's good news, Scott!  We have finally had a run of nice
weather - highs in 80's, mostly sunny days.  Should continue
until weekend, then into the low 90's.  I notice lots of pod-setting
going on in the cooler temps.  Maybe momentum will carry them
through the hot spells.

Nice pods Paul. And those Rocotos man, they're like pumpkins compared to mine. Caribbeans look tasty and they'll soon turn red. Good summer for your plants... Way to go.

Hey,  Uros!  That's the way the peruvian Rocotos have always
grown here - big pods, but not many.  Maybe 10-12 on a good
producer.

Same with the Orange Manzanos:  One finally beginning to color up:

Another peruvian Red Rocoto with brilliant color:

Poblano stretching out and setting a crazy number of pods:

Padron peppers producing abundant numbers of big pods.
They almost look more like Poblanos:

I'm loving the huge pods you get Paul ;)

I'm hoping to see that here soon as the weather gets better. I'm really liking the end of the current 10 day forecast!

Hope you get what you want, buddy!

Our weather continues to be good, with some days in
low 90's, but mostly 80's  day in and day out.  Can't
complain after what the plants have suffered through

As always, it's a matter of having enough good weather
left to ripen up as many pods as possible.

Good luck going forward, Scott!

Thanks, Fabrizio!  We're counting on some more good
weather here to bring them to fruition!

Not quite 'rolling in', yet, Frank   but looking very promising.

Fingers crossed

Hope it's good in your 'hood, bro!

Great looking pods, Paul. Glad everything is working out. Going to have a lot of kitchen projects with all those pods coming in.

Nice looking Rocoto.

There are some nice phenotypes showing up, Charles.
Your right, buddy :drooling: I'll probably be drying some pods
for storage, powdering some, freezing a few.  Trying to
eat some as they ripen.  Nothing fancy.

Some nice MoA Bonnets in the future:

Aji Lemon Drop. Some pods with the dark marks are able to
ripen.  The inside of the pod isn't affected.

Orange Manzanos have had a tough season.  There are about a
half-dozen new pods on the plants, and all the non-productive,
yellowing growth removed. Skimpy, but I may get more than the
two big pods!

Aji Amarillos have about half-dozen pods very near ripe.  This one
with the corking looks like a fat ol' carrot:

Put a few random pods out to dry a bit in the sun before I put them in the dryer:

Nice pods! I have some huge amarillo pods too. I didn't know they got that big! I spent two hours on Sunday slicing up my lemon drops and melocotons for the dehydrator. I forgot how much work that is! I have two bulging gallon freezer bags in my freezer full of super hots from last year that I still need to process....kind of dreading it. I also have a ton of dried peppers that need to be turned into powder soon. I don't like that process either; it hurts.

Those are good problems to have, Jeremy!
