I'm in amazement on how beautiful all your plants look.. i see a huge season in your future.
Thanks, buddy, it has been a good start,
so far. Now if the aphids just stay away!

I'm still mulling over how best to pot all
these up. I'm hoping for plant-out in 10
weeks or so, so there is some planning
to do. I have plants at many different
stages of growth this season, so juggling
space and placement a lot.

I hope you are enjoying season's launch,
good luck going forward, Scott.

for the first time im fighting ahpids inside and they are relentless .   im steadily trying to stay on top on it.  even launched some lady bugs on them.  hoping they can turn the tide.

Hold tough they won't give up, and so you better not either. For me the ladybugs never eat enough of them but I try anyways because it's a fun concept.

Oh, man, I hate to hear that, Scott. Get on those suckers!

I had an infestation in my garage portion of the grow last
year, and it affected the plants for the rest of the season.
I forgot how many times I sprayed with insecticidal soap
and NEEM oil, but they where just about impossible to
eradicate until they went outside with the natural predators.

its really been devastating. I'm in there every night trying to keep them down till I can get them outside.  hoping I can nurse them along till them.

Best of luck.  Where I live aphids are an unavoidable part of the spring.

Aphid wasps the best, ladybugs almost useless in my opinion, the wasp will wipe them out in days.

Can you buy aphid wasps?

I was looking into maybe buying some lacewings this spring since I've really stepped up the number of plants and already know it might (probably will) get out of control.  I guess they're supposed to eat like 20 times more than ladybugs and tend not to fly away as much, but I can't really say as no experience with one or the other.

Hey Paul, getting my first-ish look at your grow, impressive as always!!

My three overwinters have survived, only one with the aphids, because I isolated it. But I've kept it trimmed back and using regular doses of mechanical removal and castille soap, you're right they are relentless. But I get them before their population gets unmanageable, no doubt they have backup aphids in the dirt, waiting to replace those I eradicate...

It's become a hobby...we all need one... ;)

My heart goes out to you, Scott.
It takes all your attention away from
the fun part of growing trying to
eradicate all those little suckers.

Good luck. How much longer inside?
Maybe some of the wasps would be
a good idea.
at least a full month maybe slightly more.
