Ok guys, here's another Native American recipe as promised:
1 cup finely ground jerky(I use deer)
1 cup dried fruit of your choice (I use cherries and blueberries)
1 cup roasted and chopped nuts of your choice(I prefer hickory nuts and walnuts)
1/3tbs chile powder
2tbs of honey
4 tbs of peanuts
3 cups butter
Mix all ingredients thoroughly and press in a shallow pan.
Cover with wax paper and put in refrigerator overnight.
Cut into bars and wrap in foil.
This will keep for several months depending on how hot the weather is.
This has been used as survival food for hundreds of years.
It's high in fat and protein to keep you going in harsh conditions.
Will update with pictures soon.
