PEPPER CUT LIST !!!

White Bullet Habanero red 7-pot and Brazilian Rainbow.

What about the White bullet hab caused it to make the cut? Of all the peppers I was starting this year this was one the one's I was most excited for.

My cut list is Wild Brazil and Orange Wild Brazil. I may do some in the front yard as decoration bushes with my dads Royal black peppers but they just wasn't worth the effort.

It's my first year growing from seed, so naturally I'm growing as many different kinds I can and will have more peppers than I can handle (hopefully).  Maybe I'll have a good idea what I like and what I don't for next year, but even then there's a good chance I'll grow one of everything for the fun of it.

These didn't make the cut but we're close. I should say a few of these I planted 2 seeds of & nothing came up & I'm not making an attempt to try again. Let me know if I'm making a mistake. Keep in mind I have about 160 varieties growing.

7 Pot Barrackpore
7 Pot Gigantic Chocolate SR
Black Bhut
Chocolate Bhut
Black Habanero
Lemon Habanero
Corno de Toro Red
Yaki Brown

Also planned on planting Black Pearl & Purple Flash but decided against any ornamentals. What I got will be pretty enough & better tasting.

Same boat. I'll have 1 plant of most. Up to 6 of what I know I like (Scotch Bonnet, Yellow Fatalii, Jalapeño), but most just 1-2 plants. Next year, 9 figure I'll have fewer varieties but more plants of each. But that's a long way off.

I love them and they are one of my favorites but I have so many new peppers to grow this year that I haven't grown before. I had to cut something because I don't have very much room in my raised beds.

Most superhot varieties made the cut list this year.  Just not practical for me and they are wayyyy to hot for my liking anymore.  Yes they look badass,  but again not so practical.

^^^This^^^

Only a few super hot plants will make into the garden this year, if that many. I still have a freezer full of them from the last two years.

People should check out Frutescens.
A lot have a great taste AND are A really nice, short term BURST of heat.
What would you recommend? Of the 150+ varieties I'm growing, I must say I'm a little ashamed to say Tabasco & Wiri Wiri are the only two I have. Considered Piri Piri & Bradley's Bahamian but... Thanks.

General consensus says they're the same pepper, but Judy from pepperlover has seeds for both, with the chocolate 7 pot being slightly different and quite a bit larger, so it seems to depend on where you get the seeds

Sacrilege! LOL

I want to grow EVERY pepper known to man!

What I don't have room for I give a new home.

I don't sprout seeds for stuff I don't want to grow in general.
I DO give away a TON of starts though.

Over 100 I'd say for this year alone.SO FAR,More to come.

BUT I kept 1 of everything I started.

My problem is I need a bigger garden.
I can only grow about 2 crops of about 100 plants these days.
Used to grow 2 crops of 400 a year but lost growing space.

So many varieties (not counting crosses),so little growing space...

No Annuums?
Pacillas ,New Mex varieties and Cascabel (along with several others-both sweet and hot) make great mixes with Super hots in rubs etc.
Some make EXLNT blends.

My grow list usually is formulated by how old the seeds are.99% of the time.

A few are just stuff I wanted to grow at that time.

My Freezer used to be full of dry and smoke dried pods or powders that I make blends ,rubs and just use by themselves.
Last 2 or 3 seasons sucked due to health issues and mites before that.

My collections are near 5000 varieties , crosses and strains,I'm always behind in keeping fresh, isolated seeds replacements in a timely manor.

When I first started growing Chili's it was too hard deciding what ones to grow.
I decided to grow them all...   :)
5000 varieties? You need to be on my seed train :onfire: :onfire: :onfire: my man!

Cayenne, Bells, Bullet Habs, Douglahs, 7 Pod Primo, Yellow Moruga, Bishop's Crown, ...

If I have them in the freezer or don't like the taste, they stay in the stash or go on a trade. Only so much to ear or try.
