Pepper ID/ explanation

Found this among my Ghost peppers, it is a 2nd generation plant (on my side at least) and it is not a chocolate ghost pepper, it has however been growing next to a chocolate Bhutlah plant, but when I bought the seeds the site said they would not be able to be cross bred. I don't know if this is what happened though, any help?

That would be awesome, and it wasn't mislabeled, I pulled the seeds from regular ghost pepper, I'll have to save the seeds and see what comes from its children next year.

Not all peppers are susceptible to indiscriminent cross pollonation. Pubescence will only cross with othern pubs. And there are some species that are even more discriminant.

Ok, got an update, would like some feedback on what I do here, or if this pepper is irrelevant. It indeed crossbred with the Chocolate Bhutlah, I cut it open as seen below, and it is a side by side comparison of the 2 together. It is a Ghost Pepper Chocolate Bhutlah, I've taken the seeds from it and will be inside growing some starting soon to see if that is what grows from it or not. If this is a legit cross breed, is it a new breed of pepper? This was totally by accident, but I'm. Pretty excited, any info will be welcomed on how to proceed from here.

I stated as much.

However the op is obviously not about a pub.

A section of the pepper with another will not conclusively identify the pepper in question.
Are you familiar with the flavor profiles of both the chocolate bhut jolokia and the chocolate bhutlah peppers in the first place?
If so you should be able to detect notes from each from taste testing the potential cross. this in itself is not conclusive either as some crosses tend to mask the traits of other varieties.
It is a best guess at best. if you suspect a cross and like the profiles then by all means, save the seed and grow out next year.
 
I should also note that the bhutlah comes from a bhut cross so you may just be canceling out some douglah traits and going stronger bhut.

Well basically from what I seen and tasted it took the shape of a ghost, and the flavor and color of the chocolate Bhutlah, I only tried the membrane, but the inside is definitely nothing like a regular ghost

Afaik, a lot of color variants have come to exist due to them randomly popping up from the seed of an original variety. Maybe do a comparison between the new chocolate and a normal red bhut?
