Pepper ID for a friend

Hello again.  After the recent pepper ID that came so quickly here, a friend of mine asked if I could put some pics up of a pepper plant that he has that he is unsure of the origin.  He got some seeds off a friend and planted them several years ago, and the plant just keeps going.  The pictures below are of a red and green pod off of the plant.  The peppers are quite hot; I would say on the order of a hot thai chilli.  The plants are very prolific, putting out massive amounts of pods three or four times a year.  Any thoughts what it might be?  They are all hooked as the picture shows, but quite thick skinned and large for a thai?

Thanks, Dulac.  After posting this my friend indicated that the peppers on the plants were not the same.  I have edited the original post; it is only the hooked chillies that he is curious about.  The others are a jalapeno variant, for sure.
