The calyx is large and there is one flower per node, so I'm going with capsicum annum. A picture of the inside of the flower would also help.

An annuum, looks like a fresno

It's thin wall. Before the heat kicked in it tasted like a non hot banana pepper.

Yeah that looks like an annum. Sorry to say. It's definitely not a ghost pepper.
