Pepper plant ID please: it's definitely not a Scorpion, right?

Uh.. I only started growing peppers in October 2017 - first planted seeds were "yellow trinidad scorpions" from eBay.
 
Alas, I think I have been given bogus seeds. Can any scorpion lovers out there please confirm the below image are not scorpions?
 
Tunnel vision can be unfortunate... I don't know why I thought they were going to fatten out lol unless this is a phenomenon I haven't heard about.

The good news is, your plant looks nice! bad news is, it looks like a serrano or something similar.

Definitely not a scorpion. Stick around the site a lil while and you'll find access to true seeds of just about any pepper you want.

I wouldn't be too upset. Whether it be a serrano or thai (two very different peppers as i'm sure you're aware but hard to tell the size in the photo). Both are amazing to use in cooking. Much more versatile and usable than a scorpion. Congrats on a nice healthy plant

Oh and in the future, don't buy seeds on ebay. In my early years of growing, I learned that lesson the hard way a few times. You might get lucky buying seeds on there but the majority of the time, you're gonna get screwed.

My first thought was a thai type variety but some of them look seranno-ish. Either way, probably some store bought pods that someone wanted to make a quick buck selling the seeds out of on ebay.

I agree with you hogleg, doesn't look like Serrano's I've seen or grown, generally more bullet shaped or fatter....BUT!....I ran Serrano through googles image search and it looks 50-50 to me.> Serrano Image GOOGLE Search Dunno, maybe we've led a sheltered life?

Just noticed the calyx on peppers in OP's pic.. ... So I looked at those skinny Serrano pix in that google search....

The calyx is what makes me sure it's not serrano

Just a follow up post for this one - from what I read about Chile de Arbol the fruit go red and have a heat level of 15,000-30,000 SHU. 
 
No fruit have turned red and I picked the first fruit (stopped growing) after a few weeks and tried it with much anticipation - zero heat. As in, nothing at all (not even a tingle, nada). May as well be capsicum. They do have a smokey smell to them and obviously appear to look like the Chile de Arbol (red) but maybe it's a green cousin with no heat. Very odd indeed.
 
I found a page showing a green variety but it also describes the heat as 15,000-30,000 SHU. (http://www.specialtyproduce.com/produce/Green_Arbol_Chile_Pepper_672.php)

Edit: and if it was Serrano the SHU would be 10,000-23,000. I can always feel the tingle from a Jalapeño at 5,000 SHU no worries. These mystery peppers definitely have zero heat.
