Ok so was at my cousins the other day and he has 2 plants that have pods that are ripe and still attached and they are drying out while on the plant.. how is it possible? Is it normal lol? Just seemed odd to me but they look like a perfect dried pod but still attached to the plant.. maybe someone else has se thing going on or has se knowledge about it. Ill try to have him post some pix of them

If a ripe pod if left long enough on the plant, it will dry up. I always let my last round of cayennes dry on the plant, then I pull the entire plant and harvest already dried pods.
I let my Thais dry on the plant and I might do the same with my wilds for easier seed harvest
I've seen plants sprout in the spring from a left over pod here and there.
Ok so it's just a matter of being ripe too long on it and not a problem.. just struck me as odd some are completely dry but good info thanks everyone!
