pests Pests are out of control!

It's a terrible answer and even heinous for a plant lover but you did suggest pulling them if you were the owner ie. if getting rid of them is a viable option in your mind then think herbicide and they'll have to be pulled once they're r.i.p

If you're going to throw out advice to a group of people, of whom the majority are well outside of your locale, it behooves you to speak on some common ground.  Lek became infamous for his post on worm castings, complete with a lecture about how we need to be more knowledgeable about how there are different ways to feed worms to produce quality vermicompost - only to go on to admit that he, himself, had never actually produced his own worm castings. (to several of us who are actually quite well versed in vermicomposting)

((( LOL )))  you really made me laugh my friend. i don't need to explain much but it seems that u really don't know how to make premium quality worm casting and u know nothing about how to use fungi or bacteria to get rid of insect and complelely eliminating them by destroying their life cycle.  
 
my friend, please do your homework. i don't have much time to lecture in detail.  by using beauveria bassiana and metarhizium anisopliae, you can save a lot of money and it's good for environment.   it's super easy to do bacteria/fungi cuture. feed them and you don't have to pay for it anymore.  see that? 
 
if you can't find commerial product in US.  it's not my fault.     :party:

No, it's not your fault. But the fact that you keep recommending it - knowing that it isn't available to the growers in the region that you are recommending it to - IS your fault.  It would be akin to me telling a cancer patient that the cure is a cookie made from the flour of crushed Mars rocks.

Interestingly enough if you sprout popcorn and then blend it, you can make a tea from it and it will produce these beneficial bacteria

I'm starting to experiment and work on using no ferts in my containers. I don't want to post too much or suggest anything just yet as I'm not sure how it will work out. But I'm making the containers an environment like old forests.
You can search youtube for "no till" and you'll get results on this method (it's NOT no-till though, but searching for this gets the results). Unfortunately the videos are all about weed so you'll have to put up with dubstep, close-up shots of weed and "YO YO YO THIS IS MR MINNESOTA NICE" for an hour

I love that you bring up no-till, but I have my suspicions about the "no fertilizer" thing.  If you're talking about commercially available fertilizers, derived from inorganic sources, I understand.  But to get away from any kind of "fertilizer"...  I am hoping that you are just using "fertilizer" as an non-interchangeable term with "organic amendments"

To be clear - many of us use containers that are only amended with organic substances.  I have  quite a few, myself, and even posted my organic mix that I used with great success last season.  No Till?  Hell to the yes.  I replant my containers season after season with root masses still intact, with great success. (a handful of worms to help compost those old roots does the trick)  I've even planted with old rotten pieces of hardwood in the bottom of my containers. That works a charm.

I'm not growing weed.  If you want to compare notes, hit me up, anytime.  My advice though - if you want to grow like this, go big.  10 gallon is a minimum container size for really spectacular results.
