Except that I've mentioned before, that those strains, as well as a couple others that he has mentioned, are not readily available, or not available in a cost effective format for hobbyists. Â That's right, you aren't reading that wrong - I actually did the research to try to find these laboratory-grade-weaponry sounding terms. Â Yes, they exist in the US. Â But try to get a quantity that covers less than 250 hectares. Â That aside, I personally think it's a sin sending a distressed grower on a wild goose chase. Â So I stand by my recommendation to BE SPECIFIC.
.
If you're going to throw out advice to a group of people, of whom the majority are well outside of your locale, it behooves you to speak on some common ground. Â Lek became infamous for his post on worm castings, complete with a lecture about how we need to be more knowledgeable about how there are different ways to feed worms to produce quality vermicompost - only to go on to admit that he, himself, had never actually produced his own worm castings. (to several of us who are actually quite well versed in vermicomposting)
.
Now see what your mixing in did.  You made me have to explain the situation at lek's expense.  Shame on you. Â

Â
In lek's defense when he uses GOOGLE he gets ที่เป็นภาษา: (Thai GOOGLE), a bit tough to find things in the US to recommend, no? YMMV

my friend, you know i don't speak english. Â
No, it's not your fault. But the fact that you keep recommending it - knowing that it isn't available to the growers in the region that you are recommending it to - IS your fault. It would be akin to me telling a cancer patient that the cure is a cookie made from the flour of crushed Mars rocks.lek said:if you can't find commerial product in US.  it's not my fault.

You didn't even go so far as to recommend YOUR regional product. So am I to believe that you're completely full of shit - or is your next reply the part where you give us all the details of how to make our own? (because it's "so easy", and we should "let nature do the work")
.
As part of that series, could you also go back, and fill in the missing information about how to grow the premium worm castings, that you yourself, have never made, but have so much knowledge of?
.
Awesome - can't wait for your reply!

ÂPowelly said:Just exactly what I said. Soak the popcorn in water for 8-24h until they start sprouting
Chuck in a blender
Water plant

I'm starting to experiment and work on using no ferts in my containers. I don't want to post too much or suggest anything just yet as I'm not sure how it will work out. But I'm making the containers an environment like old forests.
You can search youtube for "no till" and you'll get results on this method (it's NOT no-till though, but searching for this gets the results). Unfortunately the videos are all about weed so you'll have to put up with dubstep, close-up shots of weed and "YO YO YO THIS IS MR MINNESOTA NICE" for an hour
