Peter Pepper leaf question

Ok guys, so my Peter pepper plants have been coming up for awhile now. Something strange happened with one of the last few to come up. I know that all pepper plants are supposed to have the 2 sets of leaves But with one of my seedlings I had 3 leaves. It seems highly unlikely that some other kind of seed made its way into their, as I was growing it in Miracle Grow seed starting mix. I'd love to post a picture, but it ended up dying and is now all dried out and dead. Is it probably another seed that made it's way in? Is there a possibility it was just some weird malfunction or something with the plant? Thank you!

its not that uncommon but every plant has a chance on having 3 Cotyledon leafs to start off with even 4 or more.
its like the 4 leaf clover or 5 leaf clover, but a lot more common than that.
clovers are like 10,000:1 the chances of getting a 3 Cotyledon leaf pepper plant is only a few hundred to 1 or even less.
I currently have a 3 Cotyledon leaf chocolate habanero going
