Pine Needles. Are they good for anything?

Hey AlabamaJack! I have started following this forum and notice you live in Ft Worth like I do. I would love to pick your brain and get some pointers. I am very new to growing peppers and would love to talk in person. I sent you a PM a couple of weeks ago. Let me know if you are interested in helping a rookie out.

I use them for mulch, over and over. Each year I have more because they take so long to brake down. You can make tea with them but I don't know how good it is, I've never tasted it.

Make Humas with them.

It takes 3 years to make but is very good stuff. Just pile them up every year, on the third year use the first pile.

My azaleas love them. My garden loves them. I use them for fire starter.

They're a wonderful chemical factory. Rich in alpha and beta pinene, d-limonene, phellandrene, etc.

Pine needle oil goes for about $10/oz. You'll need a steam distillation unit and a lot of needles.
