I would get this over the egg, but I can't ever see myself spending that kind of dinero. It has an industrial grade look which makes me believe it will last forever.
They are well-regarded in the durability dept (the original model) ...

yea these are cast aluminum no?
isnt there another cast aluminum grill, or an earlier one from this company? they are suppose to be highly regarded, but i fail to see the advantage over a regular stamped steel grill? its thick so it would loose less heat... but thats all i can think of.

FYI, their lower models seem to be MUCH more reasonable.
real aluminum castings cost a fortune to produce... i would be REAL surprised if these were not just die cast.

I like the PK original, but hey, everyone's getting into the craft gadget market now so why not PK?
