issue Plant issue

Just a quick update.
I stopped fertilizing for a bit, and did a couple of heavy waterings to flush the soil, but otherwise I left it alone (I did not trim any of the malformed leaves)... now one month later it seems to have bounced back nicely.

Thanks so much for your detailed post, it is really helped me.

I think I have a similar condition with one of my chilli plants, it is a birds eye chilli and the seed was given to me from a Cambodian friend, apparently they brought the seed over many years ago & it’s their favourite chilli.

In I’m Sydney.

I have planted it at various spots in the garden and only this one plant is exhibiting the symptoms. The plants are about 8 to 10 weeks old and actively growing, look very healthy deep green leaves and the soil is a good quality planter mix.

However, I did put some pellet fertiliser (called “dynamic lifter”) on most of them, but not all of them.
Maaaaaybe it’s possible that I put too much fertiliser on this particular one???
I wasn’t overly scientific With the application.

I have seen this before many years ago, but I think I just terminated the plant rather than risk some sort of virus or something getting into other plants.

Do you think this looks similar to your problem? A “nitrogen high” perhaps?

We seem to have a common thread with fertilising and maybe over fertilising, maybe I should wait it out and give the plant a good flushing and see if it clears?
