...a thunderstorm pops up out of nowhere. Heavy rain, wind, and pea sized hail. The hail was enough that it completely covered my deck. After some tense moments, I checked on my plants and the only damage was a few torn leaves. The last plant had been in the ground for less than 30 minutes when the storm arrived.

Damn hail. Gets someone every year....
If it is not hail, it is something! I planted out and then got hit with a week of TStorms and sub 40 degree weather. Set me back a few weeks, but everything pulled through. Look on the brightside, there is no better water than TStorm water! If they don't drown, they will thank ya for it! Good luck!
