overwintering Plants Inside for winter

I picked up a couple of 5000 K CFL bulbs on a deal and I just ordered the 6500 k bulbs after further reading. The outside temperature last night was 34* and my garage where my lights were the temp was 71*. All I'm trying to do is keep my plants alive not necessarily trying to have them produce more pods. I have 4 choc habs, 2 choc fatali, 3 bishops crown and a dozen seedling jalapeno's. Do you guys think this will work ? Here is what is looks like on my table in our messy garage lol. I have my daughters things in there for storage until she finds a place.

It was 31 up here last night. Spose to be same or colder tonight.  Had to tarp some old pubes and move all of this years under the porch awning. put about a dozen+  misc. plants (baccs, fruts, chins, goatsweed) in the shade shed. Yep, other than pubes, my season is pretty much over.
 
Moved all of mine into the garage and they seem to be doing fine. Still producing pods. I'm throwing a bunch of CFL light at them, and bringing a few outside during warmer daylight hours. Don't know how long I can keep up this routine, though!
 
The Trinidad Scorpion in the 80 degree grow tent ended up with a ton of aphids on it. (I guess they love the warmth?) I put about 20 ladybugs in there and they cleaned up the situation in a few days.
 
I picked up a second LED from Amazon the other day. Putting out 350 ppfd. And my plants are loving it. They are actually still pushing pods. The light cost me 109.00 and it will support my peppers through the winter. The light is pulling 140 watts from the wall so it will only cost me about 6.00 a month to run it 12 hours a day. You can't beat that while still producing pods. The brand is Aceple. It comes with a remote, hanging kit, built in timer and 3 auto grow buttons. Pick one up and your plants will look a lot healthier after a couple days. My plants are happy and for 100.00 so am I.

We have a hard freeze arriving Monday night that will force me to sacrifice any I can't give away tomorrow.  (Got 2~3 people interested.) 
Will pick about a dozen favorites to bring inside.  (The living room!  I ain't got no garage.)  Lights are out of the question but thankfully S. Az seldom stays frozen for more than a day or three. The lack of light and abuse as I drag them through the door doesn't help the already tired and dropping leaves, but last year's plants pulled through just fine.
 
I ended up overwintering three plants this year, two of them tooks the transition fine, but one of my hab plants got hit hard and ended up looking like crap with about three leaves on the whole plant. It surprisingly came back with a vengeance though. With all the new growth my habs are looking even better than when they were outside. 
 
I brought 2 brown morugas indoors. they are flowering, podding and providing me some real warmth for the winter. :mouthonfire:
 
I decided to give a go at cloning this year. So far 16 of 20 are good, with 4 biting the bucket. It's been about a month and I am finally seeing signs of roots - hooray! That said, they're in the ridiculously-sunny window inside my house, staying nice and toasty.
 
Your garage.... I am guessing from the temperature difference that you have an attached garage (as in one attached to your house) or that you have some additional heat in there other than the lights. I have a detached garage with no real electricity in it, so leaving my plants in there would make them toast before the winter really got under way here. At any rate, as long as you don't let them get to sustained temps below 50F, they should be fine. In other words, you might consider a space heater if it's going to get terribly cold for a period more than a day or two. But yes, the lights may give off enough heat to make that unnecessary, given where you are at. Best wishes on  your overwintering!
 
Good luck keeping your plants alive over the winter.  I hope they don't get too leggy from the light, but I guess if you are just trying to keep the alive it wont really matter to you.  Did you prune them at all first?  I wound up pruning back a couple plants (roots too) to keep inside the house during the cold months.  I want to get an early jump on the next growing season.
 
My Trinidad Scorpion plant continues to throw off tons of tasty pods after I moved it into the garage for the winter. It's got CFL lights surrounding it, and appears to be pretty happy not to be outside in the 30f nights here in Sonoma.

realy good I brought them outside a few weeks ago after starting seedlings. I few I re-potted and the others I haven't yet. Next over wintered plants will do better as I've added 3 more lights to the mix with the seedlings.
