wanted Plants looking for a home

So here's the deal...I have a bunch of plants, all are still quite small, all C. chinense, and all probably under 3 inches in height still and in red solo cups. I cannot plant all of them, I am looking to go with one plant per container of each variety. I would like these to go to a good home with someone that is actually going to grow them out and get some joy out of them. I have no idea how to ship them, though I'm guessing something similar to the way CCN does it would work. I'm gonna need some help in figuring out how to ship. I'd prefer to ship via FedEx, which method depends on how much you want to pay to ship. All I ask is for the cost of shipping supplies and the actual shipping itself. If you want to make a donation for the plants that's up to you, it doesn't matter to me.

I'd prefer to ship them out in as few packages as possible and all on the same day.

Here is what I have to offer:

Trinidad Scorpion Yellow CARDI - 4
7 Pot Jonah - 2
7 Pot SR - 5
7 Pot Brown/Douglah - 4
Manzano Red - 1 (smallest)
Manzano Orange - 2
Manzano Yellow - 2
Congo Black - 2
Trinidad Scorpion - 1
Bhut Jolokia Yellow - 1
Bhut Jolokia - 1
Naga Morich - 1
7 Pot - 1
Habanero Red Savina - 1
Golden Habanero - 3
Devil's Tongue Red - 2
Habanero Orange/possibly Peach (tag washed off) - 1

So that is 34 plants total. I would like to get red of them in 3 or 4 boxes or so if you want them it would be nice if you could take some amount in the range of 8-12.

As I said, they're still on the small side so if you are in a situation where there is a short growing season and you can't bring them indoors when it gets cold you probably won't get pods.

PM me if you are interested.

Roadhouse, go to the USPS web site and look at shipping supplies. You can get several sizes of boxes delivered to you for free. That's right, the USPS will send you free boxes. All you have to do is ask. What a country.

Jarret, I forgot to ask if these have had any hardening off time. I road mail trip would be tough on a plant without any. They need some kind of in place support if they get turned upside down. I've used pieces of bamboo stakes for upending support and use a convenient/grocery store plastic bag around the cup with something on top of the dirt to block spillage like paper shredding, moss, or even foam pellets. I tie the bag closed right after I water the plant for trip. Maybe poke some ventilation holes.

Good luck and thanks for the fine offer

They have been outdoors in the shade for over a week and I recently moved them into an area of partial sun. So by the time they get shipped they should definitely be hardened off.

The bamboo seems like a good idea. That was my main concern in getting them to stay in place in case of it being turned over. I was thinking of using cardboard with a spot cut out around the plant stem to keep the dirt in. The bag seems like a good idea to help as well. Thanks for the tips.

I thought about USPS but I always hear such bad things about shipping through them. I know FedEx stuff gets to it's destination really quickly.

Whatever works best. If it's 10 bucks extra for Fed ex and cuts down on shock to the plant, i'm down. If it's a super pain in the arse, then snail mail could work too. Whatever you decide I'm game my friend.

Here's what's left.

Alright, 3rd box of peppers is set. Who wants these remaining plants???

7 Pot SR - 1
7 Pot - 1
Manzano Orange - 1
Golden Habanero - 3
Devil's Tongue Red - 1
Habanero Orange/possibly Peach (tag washed off) - 1

roadhouse, I would be happy to take the remaining plants off your hands if they're still available. It's mainly the 7 pots, Devil's Tongue, and Manzano I'm interested in, so if someone else wants the habs they could have them. However, if you're wishing to unload all the remaining plants at once I would be happy to take the habs too. I'm sure I could find a home for them with one of my friends or make room for them myself.

Sounds good to me. Shoot me a PM and I'll probably get them shipped in a week or so. Should be nice and cheap, and fast, to ship to you ;)
