Please Help! My first batch and still waiting to get the hot sauce sample back from the state.

Hello Everybody here :)

I have a question since I am a newbie and would love to get your help.
I am in the process of making my own hot sauce. I worked on the label with the co-packer and made
the first test batch.

A sample bottle is send to the State for approval. I understood we can't go into production before
they send the approval back. My co-packer sent it to them on Oct 16th.

How long does the State usually take before it sends back the approval?
I believe they are checking PH level etc...

I asked my co-packer when they think it will be back but they can't help me with an answer.
So, when you made your first batch how long did it take before it came back approved from the state?
Any other info or contact of this State agency would really help me out a lot.
I am located in Los Angeles, California.

We had a lovely PM exchange. She is armed with the best information available. Which sadly isn't much.

For anyone curious about the process, it took about 4 weeks to clear my sauces for release by the state. Every state is different I'm sure.

During that 4 weeks my products were sequestered until I had ren approved as a hot packed acidic product, and given a shelf life.
