I wouldn't worry too much. The very first ripening pods often have some kind of defect, which causes them to ripen first. Insect damage etc. Mold seems to be a fact of life growing Chiles. I processed a couple hundred fresh picked wiri Wiri the other day and ended up with about 10 with mold inside, that looked perfect before I cut them.
