I wanted to smoke something on the grill this weekend and decided to head to the local butcher shop today to pick up a couple of slabs of ribs. Great plan, except my wife had gone to the exact same butcher shop to pick up a nine lb. bone-in pork butt roast roughly 20 minutes before I got there. (She REALLY likes my pulled pork!)
I also picked up duplicate lunch meat (smoked turkey) and almost duplicate cheese (she got farmer cheese, I got brick).
Hmmm. I wonder if I went to the liquor store and picked up a bottle of bourbon and a few bottles of Belgian ale if the same twofer deal applies... But I digress.
Which pork should I smoke this weekend? I've never done ribs before , so I really want to give that a whirl. But I really like smoking butts and have been looking forward to doing one for a while now.
Which one freezes best? Which one would you rather see food porn pics of this Saturday? Gimme some thoughts!
