No, it has more to do with the fact that you started a bit late for those varieties. I see dates as 15th of april, next year you should start those in January or early February. That way you can have pods by now

Plants look good, just gotta have some more patience, they will give pods soon enough.

Hi Portuge!!! Those are fantastic looking plants you have there!!

Can i ask, have you got a bucket inside a bucket (ie for bottom watering?...) or does it just look that way!?

Heres alil update to some of my pepper plants... This is the second round for the scorpions...

Things are starting to roll for the chiltepin plants... Haven't picked a ripe pod yet but still waiting...

Flowers and flowers and no pods on two plants... Is anyone else having the same problem as i am?

Any ideas to what type of pepper this is?

Here is another close up of my mystery chile... Any guesses folks?

As you can see I had to wrap it up with some fishing line that i had on hand... Without the fishing line all of the branches would lean over on to my other chile plants...

The last couple of days I've been finding more and more pods forming on my scorpion plants... It shows that having high temps does nothing for the plants, been in the mid 80's the past week or so...

Heres alil more pod porn fellas enjoy...

All four of my 7pod plants are producing pods right now and its just acouple of days into November... Going for a Turkey day harvest...

It amazes me that these 7pods form little tails on them...

Love it when the pods are in transition from one color to the next....

Thanks Doc, im surprised at well their producin right now... Waited all summer long with high hopes of harvesting and nothin but flowers droppin evertwhere... My scorpions are all had their winter haircuts but one and it still has some pods growin to size...

Heres a lil update into the New year Fellas... This is the only scorpion plant that is still pumping out pods... The only thing i got going on now is some new seedlings for the 2013 grow season and my over winters...
