Post Your Aji Amarillo For a Prize

Sure man, drop me a PM, and I'll send some seeds your way from these isolated aji amarillo plants.

Aji pacay/pacae is the large orange pod on the far left. Good peppers. Less spicy, and much more sweet than a normal aji amarillo. Also, much larger pods.

The size difference is amazing between the pacay and the amarillo.  Looking forward to growing some!

Sweet, always glad to see another aji amarillo plant! It looks like you topped it recently. Based on your pic, I would let the soil dry out a bit more between waterings. It will send the roots searching for more moisture in that pot, and put off lots of healthy shoots in the process.

I just put three of the pacay seeds that geonerd sent along in a small but mighty care package to soak. I saved the rest in case I'm starting too late. I am, after all, in zone 3. Not a lot of us in the U.S that can say that...No, not bragging.

My Aji Amarillo got hit with a bit of cold while a lot of the leaves were still a bit young, and as a result, it curled them up.  However, it still continued to develop the peppers that had already set.  And, since it's warm here, the new leaves are coming in strong.

A-a-a-a-a-nd we have liftoff! First lil' aji pacay is showing the crown of it's hook as I type. 10 day germ, ladies & gents, let's hope the other two are on this one's heels.

Again, Mister Monster and geoDnerd, thanks again!

Gawd I need to build that greenhouse.........
