posting pictures

I've been having problems, most other forums have this text box and you can click insert photo, and the url box pops up but they also have a choose file box and thats what i use with no problems. so just been lost as to how to post! sorry for my lack of knowledge

Hello txskunk,

Josh has put together a really good post about inserting pictures. You have to use an image-hosting service like picasa, photobucket, etc.

Here's the link-

Thanks SL you beat me to it.

Txskunk, the pictures are obviously outdated in the guide. If you have any troubles feel free to post here again or PM me.

thanks folks ill fiddle around with it.. I was using photobucket for some other posts but it was being funky, but thanks again

Also if you switch to full editor you will probably see that box that you are use to seeing from other forums. Just click the icon that looks like a Polaroid picture

It probably says this in Josh's post, but after you've uploaded the image from computer to Photobucket, click on the bottom link of the 4 htlm/img/etc options.

Photobucket has updated that part of their program since Josh originally posted. Used to have to Right-click, click Copy, etc...now it works to click on the bottom link and it automatically copies.

And make sure not to use IMG tags if the photo site already gives you IMG tags. Some have a forum option that has the tags already. Some people still use them, so it shows code around the image. ;)

SUCCESS!!!!!!

Can you not post images from twitpic? I'm doing this from my phone and that's the easiest image upload. I use it for other forums but I got this here:

"You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board."

I typed in
tags since the mobile site has no option for images. Is it the tag or twitpic that won't work?

Not 100% sure what hosted means, but I'm almost positive that twitpic is (not up on the tech stuff here). What am I doing wrong here? Could you be so kind as to post this and write the code out?

http://twitpic.com/42kwmy

It gives the extension error if I put it between img tags....

Looks like they use access codes, so embedding gets an error. Linking works though.
