Looking good but one thought - If you spread out those you can (in pots) to get wider and gather more sun, they should grow larger providing they aren't getting too hot in the GA summer evenings and would benefit from the shade more.
 
On the other hand, having too large a chinense in a 5 gallon pot so you have to water it frequently can be a PITA.

Scorpions of some variety.  I think at least one plant is a Butch-T Scorpion (last 2 pics).

I'll try moving the pots apart a little.  I'm considering growing in one of the raised beds next year.  I have some Jalapenos and cayenne in a raised bed now and they are doing well also.  Same area of the yard so conditions will be the same except for more room...

I asked the same thing early on.  These learned people here told me it's called "suntan".  Doesn't seem to hurt the peppers at all.  They will continue to ripen as normal.  I also have some Jalapenos doing the same thing.
