The discoloration is likely the plant making pigments like anthocyanins to protect itself from sunburn. It often happens when you have a bit too much light on them, and some phenotypes are more sensitive than others. Either dim or raise the lights a bit and eventually new growth should look normal green.

Light was too close and I wasn't feeding at first. after transplant they seem to bounce back. How long should I be letting a container bottom feed for? I am trying to avoid it soaking and compacting the medium pro-mix hp. I might have some trees versus plants soon I need to transplant the rest asap.

As I keep transplanting up and losing space I have been adding coffee grounds and broken egg shells and epsom salt to the last. Pro-Mix HP (Canadian Version). I noticed edema starting on a jalapeno so I am going to cut back watering the large containers and try to water the smalls a little more from the top I think and get the rest moved up shortly. the jalapenos do jot seem to like environment or small cups..

The Pro-Mix HP is a great substitute for soilless coco when growing cannabis and you need to water with nutes every day as usual. I did hydro before like this, but gave it up over a decade ago. It was just too much work with pH and EC meter checks everyday.

These days I just use the Pro-Mix Organic Herb and Vegetable mix, and forget about all that stuff. Lowes in my area (Ottawa) is cheaper than Canadian Tire for it by the bale. After a month of growing, just throw a few handfuls of Acti-Sol Organic Hen Manure over the surface of the pots and top water and it will take you to the end of the season.

I will look for organic kind next time. I was thinking a little manure if I can get a few outside.

Edema set in pretty hard lately in the bigger containers. No more water for those. I have a hard time not overdoing it as a newbie. External outside rh has been close to 100% but in the tent with no humidifier running it will go to 20-30% with lights on. just readjusted timer for 18h.. sleeps 6h..

Other than using the 'weight' method, I have let the leaves start to droop before watering.

Even had one plant that I neglected to the point where all the leaves were drooping straight down, and the tip was leaning over, but a good soaking and it was good as new in about four hours.

When it comes to watering, you can always add a little more, but it is extremely difficult to remove excess water from the medium.

I've been growing stuff for 20+ years including peppers, and I STILL have a hard time not overwatering. It's really easy to do...

Biden dry in the desert like air in the tent. hopefully a few survive. what should I do with flowers?

take off lower growth on most mature? still high RH but low indicated in the tent maybe 20-30% since its still winter. run humidifier or no? When below 0C? any advice on that front would be great. Edema is there. trying to water less and let them really dry out first.
