One thing I've never understood:

If he sees his shadow, that means 6 more weeks of winter, but what does it mean if he doesn't? 2 weeks? 20 weeks? White walkers?

According to folklore, if he sees his shadow there will be six more weeks of winter. If he doesn't, spring comes early.
