Hey guys. I'm hoping most of you have received the purple bhuts that I sent out. I noticed I did not include my address for the trades, so here goes,

If anyone happens to be out of the seeds to trade, dont sweat it. Ive been in and out of the hospital a bit. My spine seems to dislike my body and would like to torture me as much as possible. Needless to say, I never had an issue with needles till they put one in my spine!! Enough of that. Quick question. I have two of the packages still for Australia. To those who know, do I need to send a customs declaration, or just label them clearly with scientific names and common names and such? Should I send it insured or certified?

Ive got some of the purples growing now. Im going to start a log of pictures and progress notes of them and the other plants Im currently growing. Ill get some pics up soon of the different plants I have going.

Probably not a good idea posting your address in a public forum ;)
For Aussie packages I find it best to send seeds hidden inside a greeting card, preferably with some bubble wrap or padding. Or you can go through strict customs
Best of health eh!

First off, sorry to hear about the hospital stays. I hope you health improves for you. I agree that you might regret post the addy in open forum. No telling who will see it. Luckily though, I was one who did see it. I got your seeds yesterday and needed your address to send you the seeds you were interested in. I will get them in the mail today for you.

When you send seeds to Australia, make sure your have the Common name and scientific name with genus and species on the plastic baggie. (Purple Bhut - C. Chinense) Also no foriegn matter. Only seeds, no placenta, stems, or other plant matter and they should to through with no problem. I don't really hide them, but agree the greeting card and a piece of padding will help protect the seeds from the seed crushing machines the PO uses to sort mail. If I have several varieties to send, then I will use a bubble envelope.

Thanks!
jacob

Even if you do all the correct paperwork, Aussie customs seems to like opening packages and confiscating items. I'd rather not have to sneak seed in through the mail but it just seems to be the most reliable way.

Hi Sterling,
as long as they are labeled clearly with scientific names and common names with clean packaging then alls well
