seeds question about seeds please

A local asain market has frozen peppers that I really enjoy. If I were to harvest seeds might they grow?

Does freezing the pods effect their seeds.

THANKS,

RYMERPT

If the pods were ripe when picked then the seeds should be viable. That said, give them a soaking in some hydrogen peroxide to kill off any nasties before you attempt to germinate - half an hour will do if it's straight hydrogen peroxide. Freezing does not adversely impact seeds. I have grown chiles from seeds that were removed from pods that had been in my freezer for 6 months. Plus, keep in mind that seeds often freeze in the wild - they can handle it.
