How many plants can i grow to full term under a 400 watt hid? The Guy at the grow store says as many as i can pack in a 4ft x 4ft area? I've read people say 2 to 4? Experienced answers please.

Its a very varied answer. If you want them to grow to their own full potential I would say 2. Most plants can get 5-6 feet wide and tall easy. You can easily get 8-12 plants in a 4x4 or 4x6 area depending on the reflector shape to set many dozens of pods each. Pruning will be necessary either way.
Thanks! I was planning in keeping them pruned well but didn't want to go overboard and deprive them of much needed lumens.i would like to get as many under there as possible
