I just got my plants yesterday from chileplants.com

how long can I keep them in the little pots they cam in with out hurting them, It was suppose to be nice for the next few weeks here, but GOD had other plans, so it is blowing 20 ot 30 and raining..........

they all arrived with there leaves intact...which is a great sign.....
 
You can keep them in the pots until it starts to affect the plant. Generally, if small white roots start coming out of the drain holes in the bottom of the pot, then it is time to move them up to larger pots. If you look at the bottom of the pot and there are no drainage holes then replant them into a pot with holes in the bottom.

Keep in mind, pepper plants don't mind being in pots as long as they have room for their roots. :D

What plants did you get?
 
Are you going to grow them in pots, or plant in the ground?
If you are going to container grow, I myself would wait a few days or more and let them recover from the shipping shock and then plant in a larger 3 to 5 gallon pot and plant them deeper up the stem, that will help the plants get a sturdier stock.

If in the ground I agree with the cow killer, they will be fine in the exsisting pots.

I bought plants from them 5 to six years ago and they were very good producers ( red savina's and fatalii's)

Well I don't fit into either of those catagories, but I'll put in my 2 cents,LOL.

Depending on what part of the country or world your in, remember that the chinenses are usually a longer season, so if you are in a zone where the weather permits a longer growing season, in the ground.
Ornamentals are always nice to look at when put into landscaping, in the ground.
If you have a favorite chile or plan to keep and overwinter it, in a container.
If your growing pubescense they are good 2nd year plants,containers

You bought all those varieties from there? That had to set you back a few greenbacks,lol

And take special care of that fatalii, and it will treat you right for breakfast material.

BOLIVIAN RAINBOW does GREAT in pots.

I've got an order coming in a week or so from chileplants.com. It's my first time to order from them, so I was wondering:
Did the plants arrive in good condition? Also, was it easy to determine which plant was which?
