Rapid Rooter question

For those using these, are you forcing the seed deep into the pocket or just dropping it in?

Would be interested in hearing your (hopefully) success stories and tips and tricks with these.
 
Then tear off a little of the side of the rapid rooter and use that little piece to lightly plug the whole. As the plant pushes the plug out, it will help get the helmet off. Doesn't always work, but you will have a decent percentage of helmet heads without this technique.
