Real Chilli Chocolate!!!

Yesterday I went and did a heap of wine tasting at the local wineries and one of the wineries has a chocolate factory in it :)

After spending a fe minutes walking around the factory I noticed the sign saying "chilli chocolate", and had to take a look.

Now I'm not usually a fan of chilli chocolate as all they do is get crappy chocoalte and add a little extract so it tastes like crap.

This chocalte is different......It is top quality swedish chocolate with whole chunks of ground chilli in it...seeds and all.....

The package says it's ceyenne chilli, and it really gives you an proper chilli burn which is actually pretty warm and lasts for a good minute of so......

This is the BEST chilli chocolate i've ever had and it's only 20 minutes away from me......:D
 
Nice find Moyboy, the only decent chilli chocolate I've had is home made habanero chocolate. You got a burn for more than a minute....
 
Yeah I've done the home made chilli chocolate as well and this was heaps better, probably because of the quality chocolate used....
 
yeah I really think they added it after the chocolate was made but it was mixed around before it set hard cause if you get a piece of chocolate with no chilli flakes in it, it's still a bit warn but not as hot as a piece with the chilli in it......Still pretty cool IMO.
 
no I got the chocolate from Peterson Champagne House which has a chocolate shop as well, but the shop isn't on there website for some reason...:( They make and sell all sorts of fresh chocolate on site and also sell packaged chocolate like the chilli stuff I got.

But the gardens do have a chocolate shop as well which is pretty bloody good.
