Recomend a Video

Movie, TV, mini series, or even something that is product based.  There was a movie called The Survivalist that was centered on a cabin where the protagonist grew his own food, seed saved, and wild crafted.  Another movie called The Martian had a botanist growing potato in martian soil mixed with human poop.  I'd call these survival movies, but if you search that you wind up with either things about airplane crashes or folk shooting at each other.  If I search for things about homesteading, I find documentaries about government over reach.  Looking for things more about living in harmony with nature, figuring out sustainability, and so on.

I only have two more weeks chained to a chair, but even then I'll still have seeds to package.  It is mind numbing unless I have a movie or something to watch.  Oh, videos on aquaponics would be great even if they are promoting a specific product.  Anything about growing anything.

I've really gotta get around to reading or watching this (Lord of the Flies). If I was supposed to read it in school, I must've been too stoned to even remember opening the book, lol.

Reason being, this book is supposedly why my wife has refused to eat pork since she was in high school. After "what those kids did to those poor pigs" (?). I have no clue what the hell she's even talking about. Oh well, her loss. Pork is the bomb, haha!

Sorry to go off topic :seeya:

Started first episode.  Half way.  This is a fantastic dead on target series.  Thank you.  Going to look at the others later, but this should keep me for a couple of days.  How many installments are there?

Only one season and 10 episodes.  No confirmation of a Season 2.

Binged on Jungle Town. Excellent. I thought I would have rather seen some of the things they were doing instead of all the drama. But as I watched I realized all the drama was very educational. People crying and freaking out over the slightest things. I think they were really just sort of missing their iphones and lap tops, the posh stuff form modern life. I think it was stressing them a lot not to have their toys. Our farm being so far out, have been thinking of going the intentional community rout with employees..Meals from the garden, primitive sleeping arrangements. More of a place to go for a few months and you return with extra money because your room and board was covered. This really turned me on to some ideas and concerns.

Being a Vereran, AJ, you might like the series on Amazon Prime (if you have it on your TV) called "The Man in the High Castle." It's a fictional (obviously) suspenseful drama that's based on life in The United States after we LOSE World War 2 to Germany and Japan. Everything west of the Rocky Mountains is controlled by the Japanese and called the "Imperial States." Everything east of the Rockies is controlled by the Nazis and is called the "American Reich." Lots of plot twists, etc.

Some of it can be pretty corny and over the top, but it kept my wife and I hooked for a while. There are 2 seasons out so far, and Season 3 is supposed to come out in a few months.

If you've got Netflix, we just finished watching "Stranger Things." That's pretty good too, and I'm not into Sci-Fi at all. There are 2 seasons of that out so far also.
