I guess it is about time I posted some pictures of my 2012 seedlings.

Too many seeds for my liking... was interesting to grow considering the history. I sent my contact there a ton of seeds and she just got her first ripe Morouga. Her and her husband are hooked on superhots!! In fact, their son who runs the only pizza shop in town wants to offer her peppers to customers.

***10/15/2012 UPDATE***

As of last week, I was under the impression all of my plants and pods were completely trashed.

I ventured out to the hoophouses today to mourn over my dead plants BUT all is not lost. Although the leaves were completely wilted by the frost, the majority of the pods are still firm and viable. I cut a bunch of them open and they are perfectly fine. I did a salvage harvest of everything that had any soft spots...

One tray of today's salvage. Not too bad eh?

Yeah, there have been a lot of Peach pods this season. This is my first season growing Peach Bhut and I really like the flavor and the heavy production I'm getting from these plants.

I must confess, that the pods hung by the chimney were actually given to me by a grower friend that does the same farmer's market that I do in State College. He was going to throw them in the compost pile and I snatched them up! The Aci Sivri that I grew this season were this long but not this thick. I only grew about three plants of each test-Cayenne variety so I have lots of pods drying just not this many of one variety.

One of my goals for this season was to find a large, highly productive cayenne variety. Guess what, I think I found one!!!

He'll yeah RTF! You've got some awesome harvests. Do those little saucer plates all have different small peppers on them? How big are your plants that you built the hoop houses for? I just put up an article in "growing hot peppers" section about ways to prolong your season. You should go and comment. I made it for all the master green thumbs to come and share the wealth of knowledge. Looks like you could make a great contribution to the thread!

I grew peach Bhuts this year as well. I love the way the cap oils look when you cut these open. It has a nuclear glow to it.

ROCOTO LOCO!!!

Soon young Jedi......soon!

These look similar to a type of Bhut I'm growing, what kind are these?

Were the yellow above Fataliis?

I didn't write down what row I was in for the photo but I believe these are the Indian Carbon strain of Bhut and the above were Fataliis. Keep in mind these photos were taken with my camera phone so the quality kind of blows...

Most of the plants in my hoophouses are around 4 feet tall depending on the variety. Obviously, there are some sprawling habit plants that are much lower than that. I lost a lot around the edges but that was to be expected even with the heaters running full blast. I don't know if I qualify under the "master green thumb" category but I will try to find your post Big D.

Geez I have missed out here RTF!! I only just checked in again after a few months and boom your season is winding down but it looks like you have had a very productive one . Nice work. !!
