food Refreshing, healthy drink

A friend at work was doing one of those "cleansing" fasts and I actually liked the drink just to sip on during the summer.
 
Green Tea
Pure Maple Syrup
Chili Flakes/Powder (homegrown of course)
Lemon
Lots of ICE
 
Simply make some green tea, stir in a tablespoon (or to taste) of PURE maple syrup (no Aunt Jemima or Log Cabin stuff) and add in a teaspoon (again, to taste) of your favorite chili powder and a wedge of fresh Lemon. Pour over a big glass full of ice.

I believe so. She wanted to drop weight quick. I just looked it up and seems like I made my own version.

Master Cleanse Lemonade Recipe
 ​
  • 2 TBSP organic fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice (do not use canned or frozen or bottled juice)
  • 2 TBSP organic maple syrup
  • 1/10 TSP organic cayenne pepper
  • 10 oz medium hot water (cold water may be used if preferred)

We always make a chilli, ginger and garlic smoothie when we've got colds. Normally works really well to get rid of the cold, but can burn a lot if the chillies are too hot!
