Just till in some good compost and the left over potting mix you get from the containers. Depending on your native soil less is more. A quik till and some compost could be all you need.

make a compost tea, i have found that the use of compost tea to water in plants in either the ground or in pots makes shock non existant, i lost a white 7 pot because i used reg tap water to water in, all others went right into the sun and no shock

Thanks so much. I don't have the things to make the tea I.e. tubes and an air machine but I'm going to purchase some manure to put in the soil. Our soil is pretty damn good. I am also going to use as much soil as I can where they are now since I have ferts in it already

I don't know. I placed my peppers where I thought my property line ended which is behind his yard fence. He posted a huge card board note on the back side of the fence (to hisi yard) front side to my yard, telling me I can't plant in the "walk space" because it is used to clear that space..... Fkin idiot

If you want to see the space i have video on my glog. I'm on my phone now so I can't post the link, but I will as soon as I leave my store.

Yeah go rub some ivy on his knob. The dill weed pos neighbor. Why cant you just relocate your pots?

But what id do is go rent a electric post digger and buy some quality soil mix and mix the dirt and soil together

Good mixture and you can get a clean deep hole for yout plants

I through the pots away when I put them in the ground. Dummy me. I am going to dig up the sod and try to till the soil with a hoe and shovel. I don't have the funds for soil and till rental. Plus this isn't pay week and I told them I would move them on Sunday. Two days. So it's hard manual labor for me and a prayer. Aahahaaa

Oops threw*

any place you can fancy up one of those ol fashioned post diggers. Like this... Its what i used, pain in the ass and a lot of sweat but they do they job

Ohhhh cooool Peppa!!!!!!! I just may have one in the back of my garage. It's good for tilling after sod removal??? Or removing sod?? Or both??

I don't mind sweating. ( I know weird for a female). Calories lost and I still love playing in dirt. Ahhhaaaa. If only my daughters felt the same. My job would be easier. Ugh

ah crap well you may have a hard time doing it since your a female. No offence please!! you have to have some weight on them to get it going

I dont even know what sod is LOL

best of luck on your endeavors! Keep us update. Pics pics pics remember :)

Check to see if you have zero lot lines chances are he is full of #$@!, and since your not planting a tree or a permanent bush it shouldn't be a problem for a reasonable person , other than he is being a Giant Douche about it is there any indication your not up to code? You could also ask him to prove his fence is up to code and had the proper permits pulled when he put it up? It also looks pretty high any regulations about how high a fence can be? I mean your in the Socialist State of New Jersey, they crawl up peoples butts for coin there. I like the poison Ivy thing, use a leather gardening glove get good and soaked with it then go over and talk to em. GL

Thank you prehensile and along with doing all that .... he knew i was growing pepper plants so I may ask him if I can do the up keep and keep the peppers plus give him a few pods for........ being a douche??!!???!!

Eff that. Thats a crap load of work! Remember trybto keep transplant shock at minimum

I did Peppa. I got wayyy under the roots and tried not to disturb them as much as possible.. I filled the wholes with the dirt that they were in and was as gentle as my tired lil hands could let me be. We will hope and see

Nope Jersey

I was just informed that it was not sod I had to dig up but actual grass... rooted down deep grass. UHG!!!!!!!!
