Ripped Lower Leaves in my Big Jim

I can't post a pic right now.

On My Big Jim, some of the lower leaves are town, as if somebody took a scissors and started at one end and cut 40% across the leaf. What is causing this?

sometimes they get too big for their own good. Are they wrinkley?

They are not wrinkley, but are very big.

The plant outside? If so, the culprit will most likely be mother nature

No - Still Inside.

I am not fertilizing now, but may have give it too much nitrogen when it was younger, causing the abnormally large leaves. Perhaps this is the issue.
