Hey guys! A beer garden event got me into my local Agway (northeast retail agro shop) and on a whim I walked out with a couple hot pepper plants. I came across this forum a few times and decided it was time to register.
It's been about a month, these are my six plants:
I'm growing them all in pots for a couple reasons, mainly for simplicity. I have a few of them staked because of the really strong windsI've already had many questions I should have asked on here, so I look forward to posting and reading!
It's been about a month, these are my six plants:
- serrano: fruiting well, harvested first pepper yesterday, 2 days after it turned red :-)
- cayenne: the thirstiest, has grown the tallest and has most fruits, 25+, some of which look fully grown but still green
- poblano: has a half dozen fruits, this one has been drinking a lot of water also
- tabasco: only just started fruiting 5-7 days ago, I wonder if there is enough time in the season for them to mature
- "flaming flare": this hasn't shown any signs of further growth, and many of its leaves are yellow
- "sweet heat": like the flaming flare is also not drinking much water and has yellowing leaves
