SANARDA'S GROW LOG. LAST HARVEST MAYBE. AND STEELERNATION!!

Thanks Doc. I appreciate that and Bodeen, sexy in deed ahhahhaaa. Cute! I too am praying for a month, but it looks like cooler temps on Sunday for my. 80 tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I have tons of immature pods.

Lando, I have to do a comparison. I have eaten both but never thought about the comparison. Very good question. I will do a taste/heat test later today as its the weekend and I have a toilet easily available. Aahahaaaa. Thanks for the question and I will get back to you on that.

Thanks Ausmith and Neil. It feels like I waited forever for the pods to ripen. Bodeen I knocked off a fatalli and it turned soft before it started to ripen. I didn't put it in the fridge tho

:woohoo: the sexy pod factory! Awesome- damn the waiting is a killer I hate it- the good thing about is it lets get up to speed on the thing you blow off when you start harvesting. All those shiny yellows- the most readily consumable ones usually, but the reds you have to tip toe about most of the time.On tonights menu is mean lookin Primo- it would be sacrilege to toss it out, so next trip I'll try to bring about half as many-I'm taking a regular ass whoopin this trip...and I still have a few Browns, 6 Infinities, some mean Black Nagas(i didn't remember these being so damn hot last year!!)a great big Devil's Tongue Brown(these are really good and have a separate taste though they are closer to bhuts then any thing else.Huh!look at the time, its time to get the hell outta the office , and apply some cold beer "AND"...as necessary!!wink-wink!!

Was worried your plants would fall short of the finish line! Looks like you timed it close, but made it happen! Great job Pia! Good to see you're packing away some heat for the winter...and even sending some out!

Thanks Shane. Im still scared because I have so many peppers still on the plants. It was pretty cold last night, but we are supposed to warm up. Fingers still crossed for a few more weeks.

I think I am going to try to make a hotsauce with the peppers that I picked. Just peppers and vinegar and salt for now. Nothing fancy. My first sauce is growing on me. It really tastes good with food I must say....

The first sauce was all bhuts, vinegar, a little water and salt. I didnt measure only did it to taste. Its ok but it needs something. The second sauce were my yellow congo trinidads and the same; vinegar, water, and salt. The third sauce was made with my fatalli's and devils tongues. Both yellow with water vinegar, and salt. They are pretty dang hot. I am keeping them in the fridge because I didnt cook anything.

I'm going to try something similar with some Brains, Bhuts, Nagas, and 7 Pots I have in the freezer, but I'm also going to add some garlic and red onion. Could one or both of those be what you feel your's is missing?

Yes! Probably garlic. I will add some to a small amount and see if that improves the flavor. I will also add some onion to a small amount to see how that comes out. Then probably add both to another small amount to see how that tastes. lolololol. I'll see which one I like best. ;)

Thanks Patrick. But look at what's in store

Probably the last harvest of the season minus a few stragglers. Hope some of you grow all year and can start sellin some pods soon.

I wanted to share most of my first harvest to see if my peppers were on par with the good ones out there, and I know I can always get some pods off of here so I am sending these out. I am looking forward to a "real" season next year with more plants and lots of tweaking.

Amazing end of the season Pia. Just can't believe how well your plants have turned from the beginning. Can't wait to see the monsters you grow next year. And listen to the masters. Never enough Garlic and fruit. It will only make your sauces more better.
