I was told your green stem is what's to be expected. You can see mine, above, with a purple stem, but I've seen my T5HO environment pull more purple out of plants than do my other types of lighting.
My plants ended up with very bumpy and hot red pods that held an orange tint for quite a while before getting a bit more red, but always with a tinge of orange. I'm growing a generation 2 plant right now from my last year's pods. I'll be curious to see how it compares to yours.
