seeds-germination Saving second generation seed

Hi all, last year I saved seed by isolating plants. That seed has now germinated. If I save seed again from these plants will they be as good or will they be weaker and less healthy as they are getting no genetic input from elsewhere?

Save the seeds, inbreeding is good in the plant kingdom, but ideally only save the best pods from the best plants for seed saving

my goatsweed are every bit as good as from the original plant and i have been growing them for quite a few years - i just mix my seeds into the same baggie as older seeds. hot lemon and superchili have kept their original flavour and heat.

keep savin' your seeds.
