Someone I know got burned by the "fairguide". They target all kinds of small businesses. They ask you to update your address for a business registry. If you do it, they bill you for $1500 USD.
They are based in Austria and are professional scammers with an endless supply of harassment.

Just wanted to get the word out. They mostly target trade shows and exhibitors.

As a business owner, I can tell you: Any unsolicited request to update a listing is a solicitation. If you don't know the people/venue/publication, ignore it. If you do know the folks, call and verify.

Sorry yu don't reside where I do. The middle of nowhere, but that is why I'm here now. Rules, signs, guidelines can kiss my redneck a*s. So sad fer ya city boys.

Nothing out my front door but woods and a lake! Don't feel sorry for me, but I take your point. I wish more people would live more simply and realize not only how much happier they would be, but what a better place the world would be.
