I'm not surprised that there's heavy metals in fertilizer or that it varies based on which one. Sample applies to your potting soil, the earth in your back yard, and everything edible at the grocery store. It's one of those things that I do not spend time thinking about because if I spend time thinking about all equivalent risks to life, health and happiness, there would be no time left to do anything else.

On the other hand I do look both ways before crossing the street so I doubt I'll be taken out by a bus.

Is that parts per thousand, million or billion? Cobalt, Nickle, and Molybdenum are toxic in high levels but required in trace amounts.

Well if it's PPM in a compound that you may only use occasionaly and sparingly at that I would not be concerned. I bet some soils have natural levels higher than that.
