Hey there. I'm in southeast Asia and have just started growing plants on my balcony. The balcony, at the moment, is getting about 12 hours a day nearly of direct sunlight and the rainy season has just ended.
On the left of the photo in the biggest pots i have these ghost chili peppers, on the right are 4 carolina reapers that i planted from seed maybe 6 weeks ago.
As you can tell the ghost peppers are the one I'm having problems with. The ghosts are the ones that come in a can with all the substrate/whatever already inside, just have to open the lid, water, and let the seeds sprout. If memory serves they sprouted many months ago, maybe around April/May time. In that period different things happened and they wern't treated very well. They were left in the can for too long I'm sure and also a marijuana seed was planted in there. Once i was settled and had good soil etc i started trying to sort these ghost peppers out. I had to unfortunately pull the roots apart best i could (3 ghost peppers and 1 weed plant), in the end i got the weed plant out, and managed to separate the plants into 2 ghost chili peppers (these 2 sickly looking things)
and 1 single ghost pepper plant, this one seems to be doing ok, it's had flowers once before and a few now
I repotted the sickly looking ghosts into a bigger pot recently in hopes that the reason it wasnt looking too fresh is that the roots were battling in a small pot, doesnt seem to have changed much though since i changed it. I check the PH on my water and make sure that's ok, I've been giving them some 30-20-10 NPK as well.
I'm far from a gardener and the area that I live in means sometimes it's hard for me to acquire very specific products that you may have in the west, but I'm willing to try my best to makes these sprout some goddamn chilis. Any info is very much welcome.
Thanks, take care, bipolar bear.
