They tested 10 different Capsicum chinense varieties in a ±1 °C incubator.

Hi annu
Well I'm in the UK, so we don't have the luxury of those temps.
I'm managing to keep 28c
So it's now waiting game

I have a chilli plant in the tent I overwintered, it's doing ok .

Hi guys
I need some guidance. What am I doing wrong.
I germinate my seeds in the wet paper towel method .
When they sprout I put them in damp seed starter mix.
I am loosing these seeds why......
They are in a temp, according the the thermometer, of 85f. Lots of light in the grow tent.
Could it be the types of seeds..... could it be some are hard to grow here in the uk.
My criolla de cocina just don't seem to grow.
My jimmy nardella are growing, but I worry.
My shishito seem to struggle.

Any help.

Cheers guys

Maybe I'm just unlucky. It's been nearly 3 weeks, no germination. My jalapeños, and golden nugget have given me something.
The rest I'm going to wait till the weather gets warmer and I'm going to shuck all the seeds on the compost heap, maybe then they will germinate..
It's been a waste of 6 weeks.
Not happy at all, maybe I'll go back to carrots.

Sometimes seeds can be stubborn, especially if they are older. Are you keeping them moist?
I've got some Chinense seeds that have been in germination since around January 20th and a few of them are just finally starting to sprout after about 7 weeks. Patience

85F inside the tent (ambiant air) or in the starter mix?

Yeah They are moist, I'm using the paper towel method. They are in 75..85f temp..
I know they can be stubborn, but ive wasted 6 damn weeks, if I knew this I would have started them in January. My jalapeño, and golden. Nugget have made an appearance. They will all end up on the compost heap soon.
