Have you guys had luck with growing seeds from small pods from plants that were heavily damaged by pests? I know its ideal to harvest seeds from the largest, healthiest, correct pheno looking pods but i just returned from summer travels and have no choice. I'm guessing it should be fine but just want to know if it will be worth my efforts to plant them. It is a badass pheno of the reaper that i'm trying to save.

I have.  Just check for a dark spot/patch in the center of the seed.  If it is darker (usually greyish) then the seed won't germinate - the endosperm is dead.
