shade Shade cloth - Yes/no?

I have (for better or worse) decided to grow without cloth / plastic / what have you. My health is not that great and the energy is not there, nor the money really, for the hobby. I also see it as a challenge, soil growing. I have use the fabric in the past. It is a good thing.

I just need to use self control and bring my starter/seedling tray indoor (at night) till July 1, and then plant.

you're going to have problems getting much yield at all if you're putting out seedlings in July.  Looks like your first frost is typically around end of September, that only gives you 3 months of growing which isn't enough to get ripe pods.  You might get a few green ones if everything goes well.
 
Up in Maine, you're going to have to do a lot of growing indoors if you want a good yield.
