It is exactly 2 weeks before my plants go outside.
Should I fertilize immediately after transplanting, or is it better to let the roots stretch to find the nutrients in the ground and fertilize a week ( or 2?) later?
i always fertilize at each pot up/transplant with a good soaking. My reasoning is that that it gives a good feeding to the plants to stimulate growth into it's new space. I want the roots to stretch out as quickly as possible after they've been used to a confined area. Not sure if it makes a difference or not to do it right at transplant though.
