Simple Question?

A lot of people say to use the juice of X limes or lemons. What is the volume of a juiced lime? Or a juiced lemon?

No way to tell, each lime has a different amount of juice. When people say X amount of limes it is just a guide. Just use it to taste, or if using it for Ph, check with a Ph meter.

On a side note, to get the most juice from each lime roll them on a counter pressing down with your palm, or microwave for ten seconds. You'll get more that way.

That varies so greatly from fruit to fruit, I never use that as a standard. The difference is not just due to size. I have gotten as much as 4 tablespoons of lime juice from a really good but small lime, and have gotten less than 2 tablespoons from a much larger one. This is particularly true when getting limes from the grocery store.

general reference is about 2 Tablespoons for limes, 3-4 tables spoons for lemons.

For things like drinks, + or - juice doesn't matter except for taste. For something like a Key Lime Pie, you'd probably want to look for a recipe that specifies something like "1/2 cup fresh squeezed lime juice".
